I take the contrarian view here. I think it has to be looked at from the audience’s point of view - is the audience looking for the simplified message? Is the simple language equipped to handle the weight of the subject? What amount of immersion has the audience had in the subject before they will have made it to your article? Not everything has to be served for everyone! Don’t you think? Isn’t there something to be said about reaching!!
